Tadahiko Sakamaki is a designer at Accenture Song whose work spans product planning, product design and service design. Following roles at KORG and Dentsu, he brings experience in electronic instruments and business development to new services. He also contributed product planning and game co-design to BaBaBa, and teaches part-time at the University of Tokyo, Chiba University and Nara Women’s University.
He completed graduate studies in design at Chiba University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology in 2004, researching the evaluation of bottle forms using neural networks. He joined KORG that year as a product designer and later moved into product planning. From April 2014, he headed the Product Planning Office and Design Section, overseeing planning and design across the product range.
He joined Dentsu in 2017 and worked on business and service creation as Chief Design Director at Business Design Square. In 2022, he moved to Accenture, continuing his service design practice with a focus on people’s experiences.
He sees design as a practice that connects the shaping of physical forms with the organisation of time and ideas. An Accenture Song interview explores this perspective through his description of design as drawing lines.
Born in 1978, Sakamaki is now an Associate Director at Accenture Song. Music and teaching have developed alongside his design practice. He has taught in Nara Women’s University’s Faculty of Engineering since it opened in April 2022.
Since 2023, he has also taught Service Design and Service Design Studio Work at Chiba University’s graduate school, reaching his fourth year in 2026.
