The first limited edition of BaBaBa reworks Old Maid with sets of three matching cards and three “Ba” cards. It was released on 23 May 2026, the opening day of Game Market 2026 Spring.

Draw one card from the player next to you and discard sets of three matching hiragana characters. The three “Ba” cards are the exception: they cannot be discarded even as a complete set. When the other player has only two cards left, you must take both.

The rules create tension both when drawing a card and when someone draws from your hand. Discarding three cards at once can quickly change the balance, leaving room for reversals late in the game.

Large red, blue and purple characters and distinctively shaped cards define the first limited edition. The gallery presents the card designs, photographs of play and illustrations of the three rules.

Created by 333 with Hayato Isogai and Risato Wakabayashi. Tadahiko Sakamaki contributed product planning and game co-design. This is a separate edition from the regular release of August 2026.
