Ver.3.01

Contributed “lp”, track 7 on the compilation CD ver.3.01, credited as sakamaki tadahiko. Released on 12 November 2003, the 13-track album also features asa, 珠洲, eskm, 38recordings and other artists.

Sakamaki developed “lp” from an initial idea over roughly a year and a half. His September 2003 release announcement describes it as a track he had carefully nurtured.

The album was issued by opium rec., with distribution by universal music k.k/ims, under catalog number OPIUM-1. Asa appears on “flamed up” (feat. ark), track 2, and “word”, track 9.

During this period, Sakamaki also performed improvised music with a custom real-time sampling system built in Max/MSP. The compilation documents his parallel practice of developing and releasing recorded music.
