SD-card editions of the ELECTRIBE MX and SX, combining hands-on sound shaping with pattern-based production. Sakamaki handled product planning for these updated models.

MX uses MMT synthesis and PCM sounds, while SX centres on sampling. Both combine control-based editing with pattern creation and a vacuum-tube output stage.

The SD editions update storage and preset content. SX also offers time slicing and time stretching, allowing recorded phrases to be divided into rhythmic material or adjusted to a pattern’s tempo without changing pitch.
